Regular Town Board meeting – Monday, December 11, 2006-7:30 pm-Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Chairman Bollweg, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. There were thirteen (13) citizens present.

Marcia Clifford, representing General Code, gave a presentation on the codification process. The process would take ten to fourteen months to complete. She showed the Board a sample Code of ordinances that was done for another Town.

Jones/Palmer motion to approve the minutes as distributed with the correction to the Monday, Nov. 20 th Special Town Board meeting. The action on building inspections for agricultural property should read “Jones/Holden motion to table any fee for building inspections fro agricultural property until a total fee is presented.”

Holden/Weiss motion to pay the bills as presented. Carried without negative vote.

County Report: County Supervisor Polyock reported tomorrow will be a full day of meetings at the County beginning with an agenda setting and public works meeting.

Plan Commission: Supervisor Weiss reported on the conditional use application by Ronald & Sherry Lemke. He noted the conditions put on the approval of the conditional use, which was then approved by the plan commission. Palmer/Weiss motion to approve the Lemke conditional use with the conditions recommended by the plan commission. (see attached) Carried without negative vote.

Protective Services: Chairman Bollweg presented Chief Kerns with a plaque awarded the department for participating in the 2006 crackdown for drunk driving.

Highway: no meeting

Harbor: no meeting

Buildings & Grounds: no meeting

Public Parks: no meeting

Palmer/Holden motion to hire Professional Building Inspections, Inc as building inspectors on a one (1) year contract with building fees discussed at a later date. Carried without negative vote.

Atty. Schiltz told the Board there is noting on the deed with any restrictions on the property known as the Eunice Walsh Bird Sanctuary. Jones/Holden motion to pay $100 for a title search of the property. Carried without negative vote.

Chairman Bollweg asked the Board if they had all seen John Zils resume with qualifications to be on the ETZ committee. Weiss/Jones motion to appoint John Zils to the Fontana ETZ Committee. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Palmer motion to approve the list (attached) of election inspectors as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Chief Kerns explained that Patrolman Juan Ortiz will need to go through 520 hours at the police Academy. When he graduates, the Training and Standards will reimburse the Town. Jones/Palmer motion to approve the housing payment for Officer Ortiz. Carried without negative vote.

Palmer/Holden motion to accept the policy for unused banked, sick & vacation time for non-union police as presented. (attached) Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Holden motion to adopt the resolution to amend the 2006 budget. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
