Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, December 10, 2007 – 7:30 PM – Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Clerk Polyock and Atty. Schiltz. There were six (6) citizens present.

Holden/Weiss motion to approve the minutes as distributed with the correction on the Budget Hearing minutes adding the word absent after Jones and Bollweg’s name. Carried without negative vote.

Jones/Palmer motion to approve the bills with the additions distributed tonight. Carried without negative vote.

Committee Reports:

Plan Commission: Supervisor Weiss reported the conditional use request of Majestic Real Estate Investment, owners, Gregg Kunes, Applicant was approved with two (2) conditions. The other signs along the chain link fence be removed and there be no lighting of the sign. Weiss/Holden motion to approve the Conditonal Use for Majestic marine, owners, Gregg Kunes, applicant with the sign being subject to the County rules, other signs being removed from the chain link fence and no lighting of the sign as recommended by the Plan Commission. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss explained that Jason & Nancy Bernard are requesting to split lot 1 of the current CSM into two (2) conforming lots. He plans to build on the southern most parcel. Weiss/Jones motion to approve the Certified Survey request of Nancy & Jason Bernard as recommended by the plan commission. Carried, Mike Palmer voting no.

Protective Services: no meeting

Palmer/Weiss motion to approve sending up to three (3) members to daytime classes 1/30/2008 – 2/2/2008 at EMS Conference in Milwaukee for total cost of $400. Carried without negative vote

Highway Committee: no meeting

Harbor Commission: no meeting

Buildings & Grounds: no meeting

Public Parks: Supervisor Jones reported her committee met on Thursday. Tallgrass Restoration and Seeding indicated they will be able to do ¾ of the park this year. Jones/Palmer motion to approve the Tallgrass contracts #706 – 707 subject to review by the Town Atty and Certificate of Insurance on file. Carried without negative vote.

Jones indicated that the Town must first do a ten year plan then the recreational plan can be updated. The Board indicated they would like another month to review the plan.

Jones/Palmer motion to table the ten year plan discussion until next month. Carried without negative vote.

Jones stated that we can approve the playground equipment and order it if the Conservancy says “OK”. It should be put out for bid because it is $12,000. Jones/Holden motion to table action on the playground equipment and give the Clerk the “specs” to advertise for playground equipment. Carried without negative vote.

Discussion with the Park Survey included adding a comment section and adding space between the questions so comments could be written.

The Park Committee Description/Responsibilities will have corrections made and brought back to the Town Board.

Geneva Lake Environmental: no meeting

Lake Use: no meeting

Jones/Weiss motion to approve the election inspectors as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/ Holden motion to approve the Resolution to amend the 2007 budget. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
