Regular Town Board Meeting- Monday, November 13, 2006-7:30 pm-Linn Town Hall

Supervisor Weiss called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty Schiltz. Chairman Bollweg was absent. There were twelve (12) citizens present.

Holden/Jones motion to approve the minutes of the regular Town Board meeting, Oct. 9, 2006 and the special Town Board meetings Oct. 12 th and 24, 2006. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Palmer motion to pay the bills as distributed. Carried without negative vote.

Plan Commission: no meeting

Protective Services: Fire Chief Tim Rasch asks if the Board wishes to change the manner of billing dealing with ALS transports. He suggests that the billing be modified so when the Town transports with an ALS aboard the person is billed the Town fee and not billed for two transports as is the case at this time. Jones/Palmer motion to change the rate to $75.00 when transporting with ALS aboard. Carried without negative vote.

Jones/Holden motion to exceed the $500.00 expenditure for escape ladders not to exceed $3,000. Carried without negative vote. The auxiliary raised this money from the silent auction and wanted to use it for fire safety.

Highway Committee: no report

Harbor Commission: no report

Buildings & Grounds: no report

Parks: no report Next meeting will be in March.

Action Items:

Palmer/Jones motion to refer all speed limit ordinance changes back to committee. The clerk was directed to put a notice in the newsletter that the committee would be reviewing the speed limit ordinance so the public would be informed. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Jones motion to approve 4-way stop at S. Lakeshore Drive & Willow Road with the flashing light type sign on all four stop signs. Carried without negative vote.

Jones/Palmer motion to waive the first reading of the dog license fees and adopt. Carried without negative vote.

Jones/Palmer motion to approve hiring the part-time seasonal snow plow drivers. Carried without negative vote.

Palmer/Jones motion to table hiring a building inspector until next month so the Board members can review all resumes. Carried, Weiss no.

Jones/Holden motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm.
