Special Town Board Meeting – Monday, November 12, 2007 – 6:30 pm – Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Clerk Polyock. Also present were Brian Jongetjes ( John’s Disposal), Chief Wisniewski and Steve Targo from Lake Geneva Regional News.

Jones and Palmer commented on problems that have occurred with garbage pick-up. This involved garbage blowing out of the truck and onto the roads.

Brian went over the letters sent out October 4 th and 30 th regarding the budget and increased tipping fees. Weiss discussed the increase in tipping fees and after research has found that according to the current contract, the Town does not need to pay the increase until January 1 with the new budget.

Chief Wisniewski talked about what he has done in his six (6) months as police chief. They have had staff meetings, hired four (4) new part-time officers and will be hiring a fifth tonight, working on the policies , streamlining the training manual and instituted some radar logs.

Wisniewski had evaluations ready to present, but the Board felt since it dealt with personnel it should be addressed in a closed session meeting.

Weiss/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 6:54 pm.
