Regular Town Board Meeting-Monday, November 10, 2008-7:30 PM- Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Holden, Clerk Polyock, and Atty. Schiltz. There were nine (9) citizens present.

Chief Wisniewski recognized Officer Bushey for completing the DARE Program and being asked to be the spokesman for his class. Chief Wisniewski also recognized Officer Cates with a framed certificate for apprehending individuals responsible for burglaries in the area. Chief Wisniewski also wanted to thank the 2 individuals that came forward and helped Officer Simes with and incident. The individuals were not present.

Holden/Palmer motion to approve the minutes of the meetings as distributed. Carried without negative vote.

Allis/Weiss motion to pay the bills as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Pier Permit: Palmer/Holden motion to approve the pier permit for Wayne Brown, Section 8. Carried without negative vote.

Plan Commission: no meeting

Protective Services: no meeting

Highway Committee: no meeting

Harbor Commission: no meeting

Public Parks: Supervisor Palmer reposted that a new survey was done of the Park. The Conservancy Park Committee will be meeting to review the survey. The Town of Linn Nature Park has been selected by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Chicago Wilderness for a 2008 Conservation and Native Landscaping Award.

Geneva Lake Environmental Agency: Supervisor Palmer stated the gypsy moth infestation was discussed at their meeting.

Lake Use Committee: no report

Weiss/Allis motion to accept the Jurisdictional Transfer Agreement between the Town of Linn and Walworth County. Carried without negative vote.

Supervisor Weiss had discussion with Brian at John’s Disposal. Brian stated that the Town of Linn cost per household is lower that surrounding communities. The fuel rebate program that has been proposed will be guaranteed for five (5) years. John’s can only ask for CPI increase each year.

Holden/Weiss motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:50 pm.
