Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, November 9, 2009-7:00 PM-Linn Town Hall
Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Holden, Clerk Polyock. There were eight (8) citizens present.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Palmer motion to approve the bills as presented. Carried without negative vote.
Comments from the public: none
Plan Commission: no action taken on tabled variance
Protective Services: met with action on items later on agenda
Highway Committee: no meeting
Harbor Commission: no meeting
Buildings & Grounds: Concerning the flooring for the firehouse Holden reported that commercial grade vinyl looks like a good choice. Weiss/Allis motion to approve putting the flooring for the firehouse out for bid. Carried without negative vote.
Public Parks: Palmer reported the grant work is moving along. Blackstone will mow all properties bid for $18,000 per year. Holden stated he wants to see the contract before approving.
Geneva Lake Environmental Agency – Palmer reported they worked hard on the fundraiser.
Bollweg/Holden motion to approve the Resolution to impose a special charge on Tax Parcel IL 1700002 & IL 1700001C for the Village of Fontana. Carried without negative vote.
Palmer/Allis motion to approve the 1 st reading of the Ordinance for failure to pay boat launch fees. Carried without negative vote.
Bollweg stated that the Town per mile fee is low in the ambulance rates. The Board did not want to change the per mile fee. Weiss/Allis motion to approve the fees and renew the EMS billing contract for one (1) year. Carried without negative vote.
Chairman Bollweg announced that the public hearing on the North Shore study will be held on Dec. 5, 2009 at 10:00 the Lodge of Geneva Ridge.
Parking in front of Shifters was discussed at the Protective Services Committee. Jay was in attendance and agreed to address any problems as they arise.
Weiss/Allis motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
