Special Town Board Meeting – Tuesday, October 24, 2006-8:30 am-Conference Room

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 8:30 am in the conference room. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz.

Holden/Jones motion to accept the Post Office lease as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Bollweg/Palmer motion to put an assessment against the Vlach property in Maple Hills for money spent for clean-up, police and attorney fees. Carried unanimously.

Weiss/Palmer motion to adopt the resolution regarding the renaming of County BB. Carried – Weiss, Palmer, Bollweg aye Jones, Holden no

At 8:45 am Leo and Wes Gable from the Teamsters Union arrived. The Board began highway union negotiations. After much deliberation, the Board and Union agreed to pay increase of 2007 = 3%, 2008 = 4% and 2009 = 5% and a start rate for new employee at $15/hour to $17/hour after six months probation and full rate at eighteen (18) months. Negotiations completed at 10:20.

The Board began police negotiations at 10:25. David Hendrickson presented the proposal which was accepted (attached). Negotiations completed at 10:30 am.

Supervisors Holden and Jones left and the Board took a recess until 11:00 am to begin the budget workshop.

Pat Romenesko arrived at 11:00 to begin finishing the budget. The budget was completed and the Board decided to hold the Public Hearing Monday, Nov. 20 th at 5:00 pm.

Weiss/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 12:25 pm.
