Special Town Board Meeting –Thursday, October 12, 2006- 8:30 am – Conference Room
Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 8:30 am in the conference room. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Holden, Jones, Clerk Polyock. Pat Romenesko was also present.
There was discussion concerning the changing of the road name of the accepted County BB. Palmer/Bollweg motion to name the road from the “triangle” (intersection of S. Lakeshore Drive, Willow Rd and former BB) west to Linton Road placing old BB underneath the sign. Carried – Bollweg, Weiss, Palmer aye Jones, Holden no
Holden/Weiss motion to approve the 1 st reading of the speed limit ordinance of 35 mph from Brink Road east on the former Cty Hwy BB. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Holden motion to approve the 1 st reading of the 4-way stop at S. lakeshore Drive and Willow Rd. Carried without negative vote.
Budget Workshop – 9:00 am Pat Romenesko began by giving an overview of the budgeting process at hand. The Chairman began by asking for $12,000/year as he is in the office every morning for a minimum of four (4) hours.
Chief Kerns arrived at 9:35 am and presented his budget. He added his concerns of a Dodge car vs. a Ford.
Chief Rasch arrived at 10:00 am and presented his budget. It is in a different format as where possible the fire and EMS were combined. The Fire Department has budgeted to replace the thermal imager from 1987 and purchase a new gas monitor (old one is 5 years old). Also 7 collapsible cones. Chief Rasch stayed for the remainder of the day.
At 10:45 the Board continued working on the budget worksheet.
Jime Wolfgram arrived at 11:05 and presented his budget requests. He finished at 11:40 am and the Board continued with the worksheet.
The Board broke for lunch at 12:30 and reconvened at 1:10 pm.
Jeff Miskie presented the “IT” budget requests at 1:20 pm. The Board continued on with the worksheet at 1:50 pm.
Jones/Weiss motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 3:15 pm to meet again on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006.
