Board of Review – Monday, August 31, 2009 – 11:00 AM – Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 11:00 am. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Palmer, Allis, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz, Dean Peters, Associated Appraisal Consultants, Court Reporter Laura Kolnik. Supervisor Weiss was absent.

Holden/Palmer motion to appoint Bollweg as Board of Review Chairman. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Bollweg motion to appoint Palmer as Vice-Chair of Board of Review. Carried without negative vote.

Dean Peters stated the assessment role has been completed and filed with the Clerk. The Department of Revenue sales show the ratio of sale price to assessed value was 89%. It shows the assessments lower than the market value. The assessors revalued problem areas. One was Wooddale Subdivision as the assessor never had a list of the homes that had lake rights or boat slips. Another was Chicago Club Condos which previous to this year had no sales in 25 years.

The Board took time to deliberate:

A short recess from 12:25 – 12:40 was taken.

After reconvening, Dean Peters explained that the two lots owned by Robert Skwarek, IW-69C4 are unbuildable and were assessed at $67,500. The assessed value should have been $16,900. Palmer/Bollweg motion to modify the assessment of IW-69C4 making the assessed value $16,900 as recommended by the assessor. Roll call vote all affirmative.

Doris Roan – IL 9-5P, N1744 Valley Park Rd Chairman Bollweg was asked not to
