Special Town Board – Wednesday, August 22, 2007 – 1:00 PM – Conference Room

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm in the Conference Room. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Palmer, Holden, Jones, Clerk Polyock. Supervisor Jim Weiss was absent. Also present were Bill Gage, Gage Marine and Larry Larkin, Lake Level Corporation.

Chairman Bollweg explained the reason for the meeting stating among other things that the lake level was 11” high at 10 am this morning. Bollweg read the proposed resolution.

Larry Larkin commented on the spillway and the history of it and the way it works.

There was discussion with the Board and Bill Gage about the “no wake” and the affect on his business.

“Slow, no wake” signs are put out by the Water Safety Patrol, launch ramp attendants will be told to inform people of “no wake”.

Jones/Palmer motion to adopt the emergency no wake” resolution as presented. Roll call vote: Jones, yes Palmer, yes Holden, yes Bollweg, yes

Jones/Holden motion to close the boat launches if needed until the water level goes down to a safe level and authorize the Town Chairman to close the launches and lift the emergency “no wake” speed limit as needed. Palmer, yes Holden, yes Bollweg, yes Jones, yes

Jones/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 1:25 pm.
