Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, August 13, 2007 – 7:30 pm – Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. Supervisor Jones was absent. There were eleven (11) citizens present.

Palmer/Holden motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Palmer motion to pay the bills as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Plan Commission: no meeting

Protective Services: no meeting

Highway Committee: The Town currently owns a 40’ bucket truck. The highway department is not able to reach the large trees with this truck so would like permission to buy a truck with a 60’ bucket. The truck is a re-certified former we-energies truck. The cost is $30,000 with the trade-in. Weiss/Palmer motion to approve the purchase of the 60’ bucket truck. Carried without negative vote.

Holden/Palmer motion to approve the use of a “temp” service for part-time help in the highway department as needed. Carried without negative vote.

Harbor Commission: no meeting

Buildings & Grounds: The downstairs is near completion.

Public Parks: no report

Chairman Bollweg reported the GAS survey report is not complete yet. The firm has indicated it will be sent out the week of August 20 th.

Building Inspector, Joe Mesler indicated he would waive the permit fees for the fire/EMS storage building. Palmer/Weiss motion to waive the fees for the Fire/EMS storage building. Carried without negative vote.

Chief Wisniewski introduced Matt Simes and Jackie Rumor, the new part-time police applicants. Holden/Weiss motion to hire Simes and Rumor. Carried.

Weiss/Holden motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm
