Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday-June 14, 2010-7:00 pm – Linn Town Hall
Acting Chairman Weiss called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present at roll call was Weiss, Supervisors Palmer, Holden, Clerk Polyock and Atty. Schiltz. Supervisor Allis was late. There were about nineteen (19) people in attendance.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried unanimously.
Palmer/Weiss motion to approve payment of the bills as presented including the additions presented tonight. Carried unanimously.
Comments from the public:
Plan Commission: Weiss tabled Merry-Water Farms amendment to conditional use until Supervisor Allis arrived.
Weiss reported that Craig DeYoung will have no outdoor lighting at this time. He will start with one storage building and then as needed will build the rest. He will not fence it in at this time. Weiss/Palmer motion to approve the final landscaping plan, size, shape and color of buildings as shown on picture provided as recommended by the plan commission. Carried unanimously.
Protective Services: no meeting
Highway Committee: no meeting
Buildings & Grounds: no meeting
Public Parks: Supervisor Palmer indicated they did not meet because of lack of quorum. The bridges will be in soon.
GLEA: meeting scheduled for Thursday
Palmer/Holden motion to approve liquor licenses as posted and published. Carried unanimously.
Building Inspector Joe Mesler explained that Jay Murray has owned the house at N1568 Oak Shores for 24 years. He is waiting for the money to get out of escrow to repair the house. He stated he will keep to the schedule of the letter that was distributed. Mr. Murray was present to confirm this. Palmer/Holden motion to grant Jay Murray an extension of 90 days to complete the repairs at N1568 Oak Shores with a follow up report in 90 days. Carried unanimously.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve the resolution relating to substandard lots. Carried unanimously.
Jeanne Allis arrived at 7:25 pm.
Weiss explained the request from Merry-Water Farms asking to go from counting animal to converting to animal units. Weiss/Holden motion to approve converting 1500 cows to 2100 animal units to amend an existing conditional use permit of Merry-Water Farms, Inc as recommended by the Plan Commission. Carried, Mike Palmer abstained.
Supervisor Allis reported on the Harbor Commission meeting. They discussed parking issues at the launch and new legislation regarding invasive species. Fines can be imposed for not cleaning boats. Audrey Greene will be doing training for the launch attendants and police officers. Literature will be available for the public.
Holden/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:31 pm.
