Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, April 12, 2010 -7:00 pm – Linn Town Hall
Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Holden, Chairman Bollweg, Clerk Polyock, Attorney Schiltz. There were approximately forty eight (48) citizens present.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Allis motion to approve the bills as distributed along with the list distributed tonight. Carried without negative vote.
Statement from the Board: Supervisor Weiss read two statements from the Board. The first was regarding the Lasch/Voltz hunting incident and the second was regarding the O’Brien situation.

Plan Commission: Supervisor Weiss reviewed both of the requests for the Board and stated the Plan Commissions recommendation.
Weiss/Holden motion to approve the re-zone request of Donald & Judith Filipp, Bonnie Deutsch Revocable Trust, Bonnie Brae Condominiums from C-2, Upland Resource Conservation to R-3, Two-family Residence District as recommended by the Plan Commission. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Allis motion to approve the conditional use request of Lake Geneva Family Estate, LLC for approval of a one-unit condo as a Planned Residential Development containing three dwellings on land zoned C-2. Included in the motion is to ad the condition of construction hours for the new building will be from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday as recommended by the Plan Commission. Carried without negative vote.
Protective Services: Weiss/Holden motion to table decision on addition of optional plans with WI. Public Employers’ Group Life Insurance Program in order to meet with the employees. Carried without negative vote.
Supervisor Holden stated he has been in touch with ADP Total Source and will meet with them to see what proposal they have to offer as far as payroll.
Palmer/Weiss motion to allow Officer Ortiz to attend gang investigators conference. Carried without negative vote. Expense to Town will be three days meals and lodging.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve participation in “click it or ticket” and drunk driving “over the limit, under arrest” programs. This will be done on regular shifts with no overtime to be used. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Bollweg motion to table accepting the bid for the new squad car until Chief Wisniewski checks to see what the bid difference will be in taking out carpet and replacing with rubber mats. Carried without negative vote.
Highway Committee: Supervisor Holden reported the Jim Wolfgram will talk with Dan Giffin concerning the Lake Geneva Terrace private roads. Holden read the list of roads due for work this season. Holden/Allis motion to advertise for bids per the road list provided. Carried without negative vote.
Holden/Weiss motion to have Atty. Schiltz contact the property owners to get permission for the Bluebird Drive drainage and advertise for bids for that project. Carried without negative vote.
Supervisor Holden explained to correct the drainage issue on Linton Road by Traver School a large manhole is needed. Holden/Palmer motion to allow work to be done as it is in the budget. Carried without negative vote.
Holden/Weiss motion to give permission to bid chassis to replace highway truck #96. Carried without negative vote.
Holden/Palmer motion to purchase a new woods mower at an estimated cost of $2700. Carried without negative vote. This is in the budget.
Holden/Bollweg motion to post Willow Road, Mohawk Road, Swamp Angel Road, Lakeville Road, Cobblestone Road and Linn/Walworth Road as Class B roads. Carried without negative vote.
Holden/Weiss motion to send a letter requesting the County to put up flashing red stop sign at County “B” and State hwy 120. Carried without negative vote.
Harbor Commission: no meeting - pier should be in by end of week
Buildings & Grounds: no meeting
Public Parks: making progress on stewardship bid – target to be done by July
Geneva Lake Environmental Agency – Ted Peters gave a clean water presentation that 22 people attended. Eighteen (18) of those people were from Geneva Beach Association. Paint chips from piers will be brought up at the next meeting and John Trossen will be invited to attend.
Weiss/Allis motion to approve the pier permit for Frank Paavola, Section 3, N2253 Bonnie Brae Lane. Carried without negative vote.
Allis/Holden motion to approve the additional fee of $34.74/month for the use of “Property Look Up” on Associated Appraisal Consultant’s website (www.apraz.com). Carried without negative vote.
Jake Lasch read a letter requesting a change in the hunting ordinance 6.2 (B). He would like the last sentence modified to read non-residential.
Weiss/Holden motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm.
