Annual Meeting – Tuesday, April 14, 2009 – 7:00 PM – Linn Town Hall

Present were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors James Weiss, Michael Palmer, Jeanne Allis, Clerk/Treasurer Sue Polyock, Attorney David Schiltz and twenty-three (23) citizens.

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The Chairman read the order of business.

The clerk read the minutes of the last annual meeting. Christine Jones/Thomas Jacobs motion to approve the minutes of the April 2008 annual meeting. Carried by voice vote. Thomas Jacobs/Christine Jones motion to approve the financial report as distributed. Carried by voice vote.

Ted Peters, Commissioner, gave the Sanitary District report. (see attached). The Sanitary District has dovetailed in with the County system to have the systems pumped. They have sent letters to owners of non-working systems giving them until July 1, 2009 to get into compliance. They will track this through permits taken out at the County. The District hopes to educate people on why the systems are bad and the importance of fixing them.

Ted Peters talked gypsy moths. Five (5) treatment areas in the Town of Linn have met the criteria for spraying. A harmless bacteria is used for spray that targets very specific caterpillars. This is a suppression program that will be done in early May.

Old Business: Christine Jones stated the GPS system is still having trouble identifying Linton Road.

New Business: Michael Palmer/Thomas Jacobs motion to approve additional highway expenditures of $206,540 for a snow plow. By show of hands – 17 aye, 10 no

Tom Jacobs gave a short history on why the Town Board meetings were held at 7:30 pm. Years ago the meetings were at clerk Frank Massey’s house. Gunsmoke was on at 7:00 so couldn’t meet until after the show.

The next Annual Meeting will be held on April 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Linn Town Hall.
