Joint Town Board/Plan Commission-Monday, April 9, 2007-6:00 pm – Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bolweg called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Present at roll call – Chairman Bolweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. Greg Holden is absent. All Plan Commission members were present. Also attending – Ted Peters, Joe Mesler and reporter Steve Targo.

Supervisor Weiss explained the background of the boundary agreement. Atty. Schiltz went over the boundaries of the agreement.

Section 2.2 (e) – Ted Peters wants the Linn Sanitary District to be able to take action to negate a health issue.

The Growth and Protected area was defined – the Town must say yes in the growth area and the City must say yes in the protected area.

Section 3.2 (c) – don’t let the City have all the “plusses”, let the Town keep some dollars back for maintenance. There was much discussion with the phrase being open-ended. Refine this more, define what properties and be able to negotiate.

Joe Mesler asks why 5.3 is included. It was a consensus of opinion to eliminate Article 5.

Attorney Schiltz is to fine tune the document and get an updated version to the Board and Commission before they meet again.
