Special Town Board Meeting – Friday, March 27, 2009-3:00 PM – Conference Room
Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 3:00 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz, Chief Wisniewski.
Palmer/Allis motion to convene into closed session per Statute 19.85 (1) (c)-considering employment, promotion, or performance evaluation data of any employee – police department. Roll call vote – all present in the affirmative.
Palmer/Holden motion to re-convene into open session. Carried without negative vote.
Bollweg/Palmer motion to suspend Police Chief Wisniewski for three (3) days without pay, effective Monday, March 30, 2009; the value of the tractor is diminuous (sic), exemplary record of the Chief and the situation can be corrected were all part of the discussion. We have made attempts to and are still attempting to make contact with the owner and insurance company involved. Carried without negative vote.
Bollweg explained that Jim Wolfgram, Highway Superintendent, would like to raise the concrete divider in the salt shed so it is able to hold more salt. A bid was received by Dan Liljegren Construction for $4,000. Palmer/Holden motion to extend the concrete wall in the salt shed for $4,000 with work to be done by Dan Liljegren Construction. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Holden motion to approve the resolution transferring $6,115 from undesignated funds to general fund to pay for gypsy moth spraying. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Holden motion to establish a minimum bid price of $5,000 for the Oshkosh, $9,000 for the 550 and $1,100 for the Crown Vic for sale on the Wisconsin Surplus Auction. Carried without negative vote.
Weiss/Holden motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 3:45 pm.
