Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, February 14, 2011- 7:00 pm – Linn Town Hall
Chairman Jim Weiss called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisors Palmer and Holden, Chairman Weiss, Atty. Schiltz and Clerk Polyock. There were about twelve (12) people in attendance.
Holden/Palmer motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried without negative vote.
Palmer/Holden motion to approve the payment of February bills including those presented tonight. Carried without negative vote.
Comments from the public: Allan Polyock questioned the rush to pass the Ordinance for razing buildings. He stated we are under County zoning, so should have the County take care of this. It would save a lot of money in getting it done.
Craig DeYoung questioned if there had been anything done about Class B road posting. Board said to put it on next months agenda.
Correspondence received:
Chairman Weiss stated that he had two comments about the condition of roads. They were favorable and like the change in clearing roads as is working.
Plan Commission: Chairman Weiss held the public hearing for the Kelly Elliot re-zone and amendment to existing conditional use permit. Kelly explained that he is going to put up a 60x104’ building to the North of the old shop. Because of the tornado three buildings are eliminated and he is building one. There was no one present that talked in favor or against the project. Palmer/Holden motion to approve the re-zone and amendment to existing conditional use for Kelly and Debra Elliott, Parcel #IL2900002A1. Carried without negative vote.
Protective Services: Weiss/Holden motion to table the ambulance bid for now. Carried without negative vote.
Highway Committee: no meeting A big thanks to Jim Wolfgram and his crew for the excellent job on the roads throughout the snow storm.
Harbor Commission: no meeting
Buildings & Grounds: no meeting
Park: no meeting Palmer showed the plaque we received and need to put up referring to the grant we received.
Geneva Lake Environmental Agency: will be meeting Thursday night
Holden mentioned there are some items listed on the WI. Surplus Auction site.
Holden/Palmer motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
