Regular Town Board Meeting - Monday, February 13, 2006 - 7:30 pm - Linn Town Hall
Supervisor Weiss called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Jones, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. Chairman Bollweg was absent. There were about seven (7) citizens present.
Jones/Holden motion to approve the minutes of the Special Town Board meeting, January 9th and the Regular Town Board meeting, January 9, 2006 as distributed. Carried without negative vote.
Jones/Palmer motion to approve the bills as presented. Carried without negative vote.

Plan Commission: Supervisor Weiss reported David & Ann Marie Madison are asking for approval for a re-plat of Certified Survey Map No. 739. The Plan Commission recommends approval. Jones/Holden motion to approve the Madison Certified Survey Map. Carried without negative vote. Matthew and Mary Polyock are asking for approval of a farm structure separation at W3888 Mohawk Road. Jones/Palmer motion to approve the Polyock Certified Survey Map. Carried without negative vote. Matthew and Mary Polyock are asking for approval of farm structure and lot separation at N289 Bissell Road. Holden/Jones motion to approve the Polyock Certified Survey Map. Carried without negative vote.
Protective Services: Supervisor Weiss reported the committee met on February 8, 2006. The Fire Department asked permission to sell their 16 channel Motorola mobile radios on e-bay. They are to be listed individually and stated that they would be purchased "as is" with no warranty. The committee recommends approving this. Holden/Palmer motion to list the radios for sale on e-bay. Carried without negative vote. Police Chief Kerns stated that Yvonne Chentnik has a 4 year degree in police science and Daniel Nichols has 12 credits toward his bachelor's degree. Palmer/Holden motion to approve hiring Chentnik and Nichols as part-time police officers for the Town of Linn. Carried without negative vote. Chief Kerns stated officer O'Brien is asking to attend hostage training in Indianapolis, Indiana. Last summer he attended Part I and II and with Part III he would be certified in hostage training. Holden/Jones motion to deny the request and wait for the class to be offered at another time. O'Brien is still a probationary officer and discussion was held about attending training out of state. Carried with Palmer voting no.

Buildings & Grounds: no report
Public Parks: no report Supervisor Jones stated she will be setting up a controlled burn with the Fire Department some time before May 1st.
Action Items: There was no action on appointing Gootsan to the Park Committee as Scot Grunow's work schedule has changed and he will be able to stay on the committee.
The Municipal Court fees do not require a 1st reading as they are not an Ordinance but merely the Ordinance Deposit schedule. Chief Kerns will review the schedule and it will be on next month's agenda for approval.
Holden/Jones motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:52 pm.
