Regular Town Board Meeting – Monday, January 12, 2009 – 7:30 pm – Linn Town Hall

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. Present at roll call were Supervisor Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Chairman Bollweg, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz. Supervisor Holden was absent. There were eight (8) people in attendance.

Palmer/Allis motion to approve the minutes as distributed. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Palmer motion to approve payment of the bills. Carried without negative vote.

Comments from the public: Dan Griffin asked why all of Lincoln Avenue was not plowed. He was told the portion he is referring to is a private road as it was not turned over to the Town.

Plan Commission: no meeting

Protective Services: no meeting

Highway Committee: no meeting

Harbor Commission: no meeting

Buildings & Grounds: no meeting

Public Parks: Thanks to Melita Grunow finding an article, the Town will apply for a $1, 500 park grant.

Hwy. Superintendent Wolfgram reported that a snow blower for the JD tractor would be $9,000 installed and $14,000 if they put it on the front. The truck he is looking at is a 1996 with 900 miles and 340 hours on it. It was used at an airport. The cost is $139,000 used. To have it fitted (V-plow, wing, hitch in front, plow, etc) an additional $54,803. To put an underbody blade would be $8,600 more.

Chief Rasch explained that EMT IV Tech is the next level for Gary and Phil. The cost will be approximately $2,800. Allis/Weiss motion to approve EMT IV Tech schooling for Gary Grams and Phil Picard. Carried without negative vote.

Palmer/Allis motion to approve spending approximately $3,000 from donated fund account to purchase radio equipment for 3360. Carried without negative vote.

The Fire Department is donating the profit from the Haunted House to the police DARE program. Rasch estimates it to be about $1,700. Allis/Palmer motion to approve donation to DARE program from fire department donated funds. Carried without negative vote.

Palmer/Allis motion to approve newly elected and appointed fire department officers as shown on distributed list. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Palmer motion to approve the budget resolution. Carried without negative vote.

Weiss/Palmer motion to approve resolution for raze order at N1916 Fairoaks Rd. Carried without negative vote.

Allis/Weiss motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm.
