Special Town Board Meeting-Friday, January 8, 2010-4:00 PM-Conference Room

Chairman Bollweg called the meeting to order at 4:35 pm. Present at roll call were Chairman Bollweg, Supervisors Weiss, Palmer, Allis, Holden, Clerk Polyock, Atty. Schiltz.

Palmer/Holden motion to convene into closed session per Section 19.85(1) (c)-considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation of a public employee-police department. Roll call vote all in the affirmative.

Holden/Weiss motion to reconvene into open session. Carried without negative vote.

Police are to be given their raise on January 1 st and then any step advances on their anniversary date. They are to be paid hourly as shown in their contract.

It was explained that when actively punched in for the highway department and then called out on a fire call, the firehouse software allows the employee to be noticed in attendance, but does not pay him for the call. The Board stated in that case, they should note on the timecard that they have gone to a call, but still be paid through the highway department. Fireman Dan Pitt stated that most calls are well under one hour, so would be difficult to divide pay.

Palmer/Weiss motion to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 4:35 pm.
